In football, great passing makes for a better match. Now it's time to take a leaf out of Marcus Rashford's book and try passing on food to people who need it. Your challenge is to pass on some spare food to someone who can use it via Olio. Or use the app to find something for your own dinner.
What difference does it make?
The average family throws away around £700 of food every year! Let's share what we don't need, save money and cut food waste.
What do you need?
- A phone with the Olio app downloaded
- Spare food (if you have some to share)
Step by step
Olio is an app that lets you share and donate any spare food you might have instead of letting it go off. Download Olio or a similar app from the App Store or Google Play, and sign up.
Arrange a food handover and make sure you grab a photo with the surplus food you're donating or using up. Or you could send us a screen grab from the Olio app. We always prefer to see your faces though!
Need Help?
It's enough to donate one item of food – a snack or a meal, or a packet of something you don't need.
On Google Play or App Store just search "Olio". if you know any other better app please let us know!
