Scarecrow Goalie is one of our best-loved activities. Just take care as Guy Fawkes night is approaching.
What difference does it make?
The average British family produces a tonne of waste each year. This is a reminder that with creativity we can use lots of things we would normally throw away. Reuse. Recycle. Help save the planet.
What do you need?
- Old clothes
- Old newspaper or cardboard for stuffing
- Glue or tape
- Football kit for your goalie to wear
Step by step
Gather your materials. Find things which are about to be thrown away or recycled to make your scarecrow goalie. What can you find for the head, the body, arms and legs?
Now build your scarecrow goalie. Don't forget to dress it in your club kit.
Put it in goal and see if you can score past it.
No worries, just try and find clothes with your clubs colours and use your imagination.
Your goalie can be any size. You can always make the goal smaller. As long as they have chance of making a save!
Make sure the Scarecrow Goalie is locked away then. For a start they don't like loud noises. And you don't want anyone coming along nicking it for the bonfire.
Long hair, crazy kit? You might be thinking of the eccentric Colombian goalie, Rene Higuita. Surely his greatest moment was the scorpion kick save from Jamie Rednapp. Watch here
